Please read this policy carefully before purchasing any services. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms below.

SCOPE

This policy applies to all services purchased through kdpbookspublishinghouse.com, including but not limited to:

  • Book Writing & Ghostwriting
  • Editing & Proofreading
  • Book Cover & Interior Design
  • Publishing & Formatting
  • Audiobook Production & Narration
  • Marketing & Advertising Services

(Collectively "Services").

ORDER CONFIRMATION & CANCELLATION

  • Order Confirmation: All orders are confirmed once full payment has been received and an order acknowledgment is emailed to you.
  • Cancellation Before Work Begins: You may cancel your order before any work begins and receive a full refund.
  • Cancelling After Work Has Started: If work has begun (e.g., manuscript drafting, editing, design), cancellation and refund eligibility will depend on the progress of the project (see Section 3).

REFUND ELIGIBILITY & CONDITIONS

The amount of refund you may receive depends on the stage of work at the time of cancellation:

After manuscript submission but before design/production Refund minus administrative fee up to 10% of total order or $150 USD, whichever is less
After design/production has started 50% Refund
After final deliverables are approved No Refund

Work is considered "started" when we have begun authoring, editing, designing, formatting, or any other service elements agreed in your order.

NO REFUND FOR CHANGE OF MIND

Refunds are not available simply because you change your mind, decide you no longer want the service, or choose to go with another provider. Refund eligibility is strictly tied to the work progress and timing of cancellation.

REVISION POLICY VS. REFUNDS

Revisions are not the same as refunds. If you request changes to work already delivered, we will follow our standard revision policy, which may include additional charges if changes fall outside the original scope.

HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND

To request a refund:

  • Your full name
  • Order or invoice number
  • Date of purchase
  • Reason for refund request
  • Any supporting documents/communications

We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and respond with the outcome of the review and next steps.

REFUND PROCESSING TIME

  • If a refund is approved:
  • Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days.
  • The credit will be applied back to the original payment method.
  • The exact timing may vary based on your bank/card provider.

NO REFUND AFTER 90 DAYS

Refund requests made more than 90 days after the date of purchase will not be accepted.

EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES

In rare cases where we fail to deliver the agreed services, or there is a demonstrable defect in delivered work, refunds may be issued at our discretion, subject to our internal review.
